Welcome to Design My Future, an Erasmus+ funded project that will help young people, predominantly from marginalised groups, as they plan to make the transition from compulsory schooling towards future positive destinations. We will use games, guides for professionals and training to help the young people and those who support them.
The 3-year 400k Euro project started in November 2019 and will be jointly led by Dr Marc Fabri from Leeds School of Arts, and Dr Mhairi Beaton from the Carnegie School of Education. A key aim of the project is to reduce early school leaving and prevent young people from entering the job market with insufficient skills.
The project has only just started and we are in the process of setting up the website. If you would like to find out more about our ambitions and methods, please read the project overview or get in touch.
The project involves the following partners:
- Leeds Beckett University, UK
- Ahead Partnerships, UK
- University of Tromso, Norway
- The National Education Institute of Slovenia
- Progresso Infantil, Portugal
- CESIE, Italy
Over the next few months we will be developing a research strategy and start involving young people and their supports in co-design workshops.
